Print Information

How are these prints made?

Every image taken by Pam Wood is carefully edited in image editing software to ensure the finest quality image possible.   After years of image preparation experience, you can be sure that each picture is tack sharp, clear, clean and brilliant in color.

After editing,  a proof is made to meet the artist satisfaction of quality.  Each photograph is then printed on a wide format printer, on photographic paper with archival ink for a 300 year life.

The next step in the preparation of the image is the Lamination.

What is Lamination?

Lamination is a process of applying a matte film onto the surface of a print using a hot roller and a Laminator.  This application will give the print even more durability and protection with no glare.   Laminated prints are fantastic because they are lightweight, no glass, more archival and easy to clean.  You can even hang these in the bathroom or kitchen as moisture is not a problem (no more condensation headaches).  Great for houses with kids as no fingerprints show.  Just wipe with damp cloth and water to clean.  There is even a UV inhibitor in the laminate so that they can be exposed to direct sunlight with no fading for many years.

After laminating and mounting on 3/16” foamcore the images are cut down to size and framed with shiny black Neilson metal frames.   Shipped directly to your door ready for hanging.
